When was the last time you said that? When was the last time you stepped away from thinking about everyone else, to take care of yourself? Let us challenge you to just that! An hour a week where you can have an experience that exercises your body, mind and spirit within a creative and non-competitive environment. Beginner Modern Dance Class is for those who want to explore the beautiful and exciting art form of dance and get a great work out. This class is designed for adults at the beginner level and is aimed at learning the basics of modern dance as you explore and unleash your artistic side. No experience is required, so join us in a class that celebrates you! The class is from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Saturdays and it is held at Stage Door Dance Studio. The studio is located at Bee Ridge Road and Tuttle across the street from T.J.Maxx. The address is 3755 S Tuttle Ave.The class is taught by Courtney Smith and the price is $10 per class or $30 for a 4 class card. We hope to see you there!
Advanced Modern Dance Classes
Saturdays from 1:30 to 2:45pm @ Sarasota Ballet's Studio 20
It’s all about ME.
Any dancer knows that the uniqueness of a truly great dancer comes from their unwavering passion of this great art form. Advanced Modern Dance Class creates a space for you to delve into your passion. Exploring technique and performance skills, this class is designed for the serious student or professional who is at an advanced level. Dancing beside company members, this class will explore the physicality, technique and artistry of what we, at ME, do. A classical technique base with an overlap of influences from the post modern era, this class plunges into the heart of movement and encourages you to do the same! Advanced Modern Dance with Moving Ethos Dance Company will be held from 1:30pm to 2:45pm on Saturdays at Sarasota Ballet's Studio 20, Downtown. The studio is located on Lemon Avenue between Main and 1st Streets across from Mattison's Grill. The address is 20 N Lemon Ave. Courtney Smith, Leah Verier-Dunn and Stephanie Carter will be teaching. Price: $10 per class, or a 4-class card for $30. We hope to see you there!

Yoga
Saturdays from 9 to 10am @ Colonial Oaks Park
It’s all about ME.For ME, yoga means community, and can be described as ‘improving our relationship with the world so we may carry ourselves through life with peace and prosperity’. Through physically challenging, flowing poses and intellectually challenging content, we will create a space for students to step into the director’s chair and design their future beginning with making a conscious assessment of ones’ own body and abilities. Experience a great workout accompanied with energizing music while your mind gets quiet and your body gets strong. This class is designed for all ages and all levels, as we offer many modifications for every flow. Let’s crack a few smiles together on our mats and enjoy taking care of ourselves! Yoga classes will be held from 9am to 10am on Saturdays at Colonial Oaks Park, Room B. The Park is located at 5300 Colonial Oaks Boulevard, on the main street of the Colonial Oaks Neighborhood. This class is taught by Leah Verier-Dunn. Price: $10 per class, or a 4-class card for $30...see you in class!
